I just purchased a sewing machine. My plan is to be eco friendly, frugal and teach the Princess how to sew. It’s the Martha Stewart in me. Mom said, “Interesting. Now that you are divorced, you decide to be all home maker-ish.” Yeah. Now I’m doing it for someone that appreciates it…me!
Here are some other eco lighting tips to keep you on the eco path.
1. Change your light bulbs 2 or 3 at a time. Yes, it can be costly to do everything at once. Don’t! You won’t have to change the bulb for another 5 or so years, so do it gradually.
2. Use area lighting. Only light the spot where you need it!
3. Turn off the lights as you go. There’s no need to keep the kitchen light on if you are going to be in the bedroom for the next half hour!
4. Open the windows! Natural light is the BEST light!!
